Rose - Papa Meilland

This deep red rose has an exceptionally strong fragrance even in its upright and tight bloom form, and his beautiful red-black velvet petals feel just as luxurious as they look. Papa Meilland is an older, continual blooming, deep, dark velvety red Hybrid Tea rose, the yardstick to which dark red, fragrant roses should be judged. He offers up to near-perfect 5" blooms of 35+ petals. This rose has earned a Gold Medal in Germany, the Hall of Fame from The WFRS, and the Gamble Fragrance Award. Papa Meilland is the plant parent to many amazing varieties, including The McCartney Rose.
